Marine Audrea Killalea grew up on military installations around the nation as both her mother and father served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps. The military lifestyle both as a service member and as a family member contributed to her ability to easily adapt to new circumstances quickly.
Marine Killalea served in the U. S. Marine Corps for 20 years, from 1988 to 2008, traveling around the United States and the world. She completed Marine Corps bootcamp at Parris Island, South Carolina. Her assignments were in Virginia, North Carolina, Hawaii, Maryland, Guam, Japan and Iraq. Throughout her military career she served as Correctional Officer, Military Police, Criminal Investigator and Polygraph examiner. Her final duties included service as a Marine Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
Upon retiring from the U.S. Marine Corps 2008, Marine Killalea continued
her federal service with the DoD and then Department of Homeland Security. During 2015, Mrs. Killalea made her
transition to Houston, TX.
Marine Killalea continues to surround herself with veterans while
actively participating with the local veteran organizations in the Greater
Houston Area. She is currently a member of the Marine Corps League Sgt Marty
Gonzalez Detachment #1485, the National Cemetery Council of Greater Houston;
the Marine Corps Coordinating Council Southeast Houston, the Women Marines
Association and she is also a member of the VFW 8905 and the American Legion
Post 560.
Marine Killalea joined the MCL in October 2017. She holds multiple billets within the MCL to
include MCL National Recording Secretary, MCL National POW/MIA Committee Chair
and the MCL National Membership Committee. She formerly served as a member of the MCL National Public Relations
Committee. Marine Killalea has served as
the Department of Texas MCL Public Relations Chair. On the Detachment level, she has served as
Detachment Commandant, Detachment Judge Advocate, Detachment Paymaster and
Detachment Public Relations Chair. Marine
Killalea holds MCL life membership with the Sgt M.J. Marty Gonzalez Detachment
1485, Department of Texas and dual membership with the Sooner Detachment 559,
Department of Oklahoma.
Marine Killalea joined the Military Order of the Devil Dogs (MODD)
in 2018 and currently holds the position of Honorable Assistant Vice Chief
Devil Dog Southern Division and Worthy Pack Leader of MODD Texas Pack 2023
-2024. She has also served as the Madam
Pound Keeper, Madam Senior Vice Pound Keeper, Madam Police Dog and Madam Mad
Dog for MODD Pounds Crossroads Dogs Pound 177, RGV Diablo Dogs Pound 956 and
Feral Dogs Pound 397.
Marine Killalea resides in Houston, TX with her Marine husband and
youngest daughter. She has a total of
three children and one grandchild. Marine Killalea also considers her two four legged friends as her
additional children.
